Welcome to Evergreen Valley, bordering 2,200 acres of White Mountain National Forest in the heart of Maine’s wilderness. Your stay in this rustic country inn will provide you and your family with an opportunity to enjoy an abundance of wildlife, especially moose and deer, as well as a variety of activities and attractions nearby. In the summer months, take advantage of our beautiful lakes and rivers. Close to the inn, there are many attractions that offer fun for the whole family, regardless of age. We are also close to Kezar Lake, which has been recognized by National Geographic many times as one of the most beautiful lakes in North America. You can also enjoy canoeing down the Saco River from early summer to late fall. Fryeburg Fair in the Fall is one of the area’s biggest attractions. Hike up the trails to Speckled Mountain, which are on the property, or go and investigate our local gem mines. Lots to keep everyone busy.

Comfortable and Cozy Accommodations


We have different styles and sizes of units available to all. The units are furnished, including kitchen facilities (tableware, flatware, cooking utensils, etc.), towels, bedding, and a TV. The Aspen, Innsbrook, St. Moritz, and Matterhorn units all have kitchenette units, while the condo units have a full-sized kitchen.

These units feature a private loft bedroom with a queen-sized bed at the top of cast iron spiral stairs. With one sofa bed, these units can sleep a maximum of four adults and children.

These charming units are laid out on three floors connected with spiral staircases. The units sleep six, starting with a king-sized master bedroom and private bath. The second floor contains one sofa bed and another private bath. The third floor has a loft bedroom with a queen-sized bed. This unit has a maximum occupancy of 6 between adults and children.

    Evergreen has different styles and sizes of units available. All rooms are furnished, including kitchen facilities (tableware, flatware, cooking utensils, towels, bedding and TV). All you need bring is food and personal items. Shop ahead of time at Shaw's or Hannaford. The nearest grocery market is in N. Con-way. Here are the rooms and rates PER NIGHT. THESE RATES DO NOT INCLUDE TAX.


    Reservations require a credit card to hold the unit, however the card will not be charged until check-in. * Cancellations within 72 hours prior to your arrival will be charged an equivalent to the first night's stay. Cancellations with more than 72 hours' notice will not be charged.


    Aspen Units: $125.00, efficiency units that include a sofa bed with a Murphy bed. These units sleep 2.


    Innsbrook Units: $169.00 These units feature a private loft bedroom at the top of cast iron spiral stairs.

    With two sofa beds, these units sleep.


    St. Moritz Units: $199.00 Private bedroom with king size bed and two sofa beds all on one floor in a side by side layout. Sleeps 4.


    Matterhorn Units: $222.00 These charming units are laid out on three floors connected with spiral stair-cases. The units sleep 6 in a private, king-sized master bedroom, a loft bedroom and two sofa beds.

Western Maine actually has quite a variety of wildlife for your viewing pleasure. Look closely, and you’ll find turkeys, eagles, hawks, porcupines, raccoons, skunks, deer, loons, and bears!

  • Kezar Lake

    Kezar Lake: For the summer enthusiast, you can’t beat Kezar Lake for swimming, fishing, and all-around boating. The lake is 10 miles long, and its shoreline is dotted with cabins and homes of every sort. The Kezar Lake Marina, located in the Narrows, near the bridge in West Lovell, rents a variety of watercraft, from pontoon boats to paddle boards.

  • Oxford Casino

    The Oxford Casino is just 48 minutes from the Inn. You can play slots, craps, roulette, and blackjack 24/7! On Saturday's, the casino features a prime rib buffet.

  • Mt. Washington Valley

    Mt. Washington Valley: The valley offers activities for all seasons. Train rides, shopping, movies, restaurants, skiing, athletic clubs, music, playhouses, golf courses, and more. The area is well known for its granite cliffs overlooking the roads and towns.

  • Storyland

    Storyland can be found on Route 16, just north of North Conway, in Glen, NH. Storybook characters come to life, rides are action-packed or family-friendly, and the gift shops provide plenty of memories to take home. Plan an entire day for Storyland. While it’s a very pleasant ride, it’s still almost an hour away, and you won’t want to leave because you’ll be having so much fun!

    The Cog Railroad to Mount Washington: experience the thrill of ascending the Northeast’s highest peak up a 3-mile-long, 150-year-old trestle.

  • The Appalachian Trail

  • How far is Evergreen Valley Inn from Portland, Maine and North Conway, New Hampshire?

    We are one and a half hours from Portland, Maine; we are 40 minutes from North Conway, New Hampshire.

  • Is there a restaurant on the premise?

    No, we do not have a restaurant on our premises; however, we do have a beverage and snack vending machine.  We also sell ice and have a small selection of necessities in case you’ve forgotten to pack some things. Each morning, we have pastries to get you started.  During peak weeks, we do serve breakfast.

  • Are linens and towels provided in the units?

    Yes, linens and towels are provided.  And replacements are available upon the return of used towels.

  • Is it necessary to call Evergreen Valley when I cannot come on my expected date of arrival or will not be using my week?

    Yes, it is very important to call us so we can assist you when you wish to use your unit or to facilitate your needs when renting or exchanging your week.

  • When is the peak season in which area attractions are open?

    Winter sports include skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.  The fall provides beautiful foliage and the famous Fryeburg Fair. Summer is for all summer activities, including canoeing the Saco River and swimming at scenic Kezar Lake and many other lakes near the property.  Spring is a peaceful time if you enjoy quiet time. 

  • What is check in and check out time?

    Check-in time is after 3 pm and check-out time is 10:00 am

  • Are Pets Allowed?

    Pets are allowed. A fee of $25.00 per day per dog.  No other animals are permitted. The State of Maine requires that all dogs be leashed. You will be asked to sign a doggie contract. 


    All dogs must be current on all vaccines and have proof of vaccinations. 


    No dogs are allowed in common areas or in the game room or playground area.

  • Is there an ATM machine close by?

    There are a couple ATM machines within a 20-minute drive. One at Aj’s Everything and one at Center Lovell Market.

  • Does the Resort use an exchange company?

    We use 7Across, formerly Dae Live and RCI; we also recently joined Interval International.  All three will be very successful at assisting our owners when they want an alternative vacation. 7 Across phone number is 1-800-468-1799 (within USA & Canada), fax number is +1-602-674-2645. RCI’s number is 1-800-338-7777.  It should be noted that the owner’s maintenance fees must be paid at least eight weeks in advance before banking your unit for exchange. Call the front desk to find out about other exchange companies we partner with.

  • Is the resort wheelchair accessible?

    Our resort has a door towards the back of our building where wheelchairs can enter. You would have to stay on the main floor. We have some larger rooms on the main floor, but they are often booked well in advance. Unfortunately, during the winter, the inn is not wheelchair accessible. We must admit that sometimes it can be difficult for wheelchairs if they are larger.
